Becca Stanek has worked as an editor and writer in the personal finance space since 2017. She previously served as the managing editor overseeing investing and savings content at LendingTree and as an editor at SmartAsset focused on financial advisor content. Prior to that, she was a staff writer at The Week where she covered news and politics. She is currently freelancing for outlets including MoneyMade, Forbes, SoFi, Policygenius and others while she earns her MFA in creative writing from Queens University in Charlotte.
