Make Money

Ark7’s offerings are structured on a deal-by-deal basis. Due to this, the way you earn a return might vary depending on the property type, time horizon and risk level.

The most common way that investors make money is by receiving operating income proportional to their ownership stake in a given rental property. Ark7 also has a secondary market that allows investors to sell their shares on-demand—and potentially profit from price appreciation.

Ark7 charges a one-time sourcing fee of 3% of the Property Market Cap for sourcing, acquiring, and listing the property for sale to the general public.

How You’re Taxed

Ark7’s real estate investments are largely subject to income tax. Meaning that investors are expected to trigger a taxable event once one of their properties generates income.

The exact tax rate of this investment depends on the type of income generated as well as the taxpayer's country of residence, personal income tax bracket and whether the investment is held in a tax-advantaged account. At the end of each tax year, Ark7 sends investors a 1099 form to file their tax returns.

Federal, state and local taxes also affect the total tax burden associated with the investment. For more clarity, consult with an advisor before making an investment.
